Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, also known as MNIT Jaipur, is a public institute that was established in the year 1963. The institute is jointly managed by the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan. It is approved by AICTE and has been accredited by the NBA.  As per NIRF 2024, MNIT has been ranked 82nd under the overall category and 43rd under the Engineering category. Apart from this, the institute has also signed MoUs with various institutes such as Stevens Institute of Technology, North Dakota University, University of Greenwich London, University of Saskatchewan, Deakin University, etc.

MNIT Jaipur courses are offered at the UG and PG levels. There are a total of 7 programmes offered in various streams such as engineering, management, and science. Some of the popular MNIT programmes include BTech and BArch at the UG level and MBA, MSc, MTech, etc. at the PG level. The average MNIT Jaipur fees range from Rs 15,000 to Rs 5,00,000 depending on the courses. Admission to these courses is based on entrance exams as well as merit. The institute accepts JEE Main for BTech/ BArch admission, GATE for MTech admission, IIT JAM for MSc, and XAT/ MAT for MBA admission.

MNIT Jaipur placements are managed by its placement cell every year. According to MNIT Jaipur placements 2024, the highest and average packages offered were Rs 64 LPA and Rs 11.58 LPA, respectively.  Some of the top recruiters include D E Shaw, Adobe, JPMC, Arcesium, Texas, Salesforce, Atlassian, Apple, etc. 

There are several scholarship programs at MNIT Jaipur for its students in all the affiliated colleges. The Government of West Bengal has made mandatory scholarships for students who hail from families whose financial status is Below Poverty Line (BPL). Not only scholarships but the MNIT Jaipur also financially supports the students with various fellowship and award programmes. 

Merit students are also eligible for some of the MNIT Jaipur scholarship. NIT Jaipur ) scholarship facilities for UG and PG students help them with financial assistance and reward academic performances and make their learning experience easier by lowering the burden on their parents. 

The MNIT Jaipur scholarship programmes are listed below also with the criteria to be fulfilled by students to be eligible to gain access to the scholarships provided by the Government of Haryana through the university.

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: 

Merit-cum-Means scholarship is available for praiseworthy students whose family’s gross income does not exceed INR 2,50,000/- per annum.

• Central Sector Scholarship of Top Class Education for SC students (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi: 

This plan also provides stipends for the interns and sanctions scholarships to the students based on their financial status, reservation category, and academic excellence.

• National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST students (CSSS Top Class ST students): 

90 Postgraduate students of the BCA field from the School Of Computer Applications. Students who fall under the Below Poverty Line (BPL)/ Poor/ Needy category and deserve to have at least 2nd division at graduation level are eligible to apply. The University grants Rs.1,00,00-/- per annum if the students 

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Students Belonging to Minority Communities. (Ministry of Minority Affairs, New Delhi: 

Apart from the various scholarship schemes, MNIT, Jaipur (MNIT or NIT, Jaipur )   is also awarded to students by the University based on their performance in academics.

• JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS (JRS) BY UGC (UNIVERSITY GRANT COMMISSION)

This scholarship scheme is available to all eligible students from the science and humanitarian stream. The objective of the JRF scheme is to provide opportunities to NET-JRF qualified candidates to undertake advanced studies and research leading to M.Phil/Ph.D. Degrees in Humanities and Social Sciences, including Languages and Science

• INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM (IELTS) 

IELTS (INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM) is a superior language proficiency exam for evaluating different criteria of English speaking abilities like communication skills, vocabulary skills, pronunciation skills, etc.  It is one of the important admission requirements for international students aspiring to study in a university-based in an English-speaking country. And studying abroad is certainly an expensive affair. To compensate for the high charges, the British government has collaborated with several universities, and charitable trusts have come up with IELTS to help Indian students, and MNIT, Jaipur (MNIT or NIT, Jaipur ) also provides IELTS scholarships to its students and provides them opportunities to study abroad.
